ISO 22301 Certification Process
After finalization of the agreement with the client, Quality Systems’ experts visit the client’s premises to conduct a complete gap analysis of the existing system against the ISO 22301 standard. The gap report is discussed with management, highlighting deficiencies related to policies, business impact analysis (BIA), risk assessment, continuity plans, testing, awareness, and statutory or regulatory requirements.
Based on the agreed timelines, we commence implementation activities as per the finalized gap report. Once documentation, implementation, training, and testing requirements are completed, we proceed toward the certification audit. Our technical team provides complete assistance, guidance, and support throughout the process to ensure successful certification in the first attempt.
An ISO 22301 certificate is not issued once-and-for-all and must be maintained through periodic audits. Certification bodies conduct audits in two stages: Stage 1 (documentation and readiness review) and Stage 2 (implementation and effectiveness audit). Upon successful completion, the certificate is issued with one-year validity, followed by annual surveillance audits. During the three-year certification cycle, two surveillance audits are conducted, and after completion of three years, a re-certification audit is required to continue certification.
